Hi everyone! Today we have released a new minor update of Smart Launcher that introduces a few interesting features. Let's take a look at them:
Swipe Gestures on Home Screen Icons

We recently received many requests from new users coming from Nova to introduce this feature. Now you can launch any app or system action by swiping on a home screen icon in Smart Launcher. Unlike Nova, you can swipe in any of the four directions. We really hope this will be enough for most of you!
Smart Article Grouping in Your Feed

Here is the first big QOL improvement for Your Feed, which was introduced a few months ago with Smart Launcher 6.5. People reported that after adding several news sources of the same kind to their feed, it became crowded with repetitive news.
Smart Grouping addresses this issue by grouping together similar articles. This not only clears up your feed but also makes it easier for you to access more coverage of the same news. The feature runs locally on your device and is enabled by default with the update, but you can disable it in the Feed settings if you feel it doesn't work for you.
New Font Picker

We updated the font picker with a new UI that gives you a better preview of how your chosen fonts will look in different situations. Also, it’s now easier to install and manage installed fonts.
Option to Automatically Add Newly Installed Apps to the Home Screen
The title says it all. We have never been fans of a crowded home screen, but we acknowledge that people have different preferences. So, we listened to your feedback and introduced this option. You can find it in Preferences → Home Screen → Add New Icons to the Home Screen.
Enabled Drag and Drop of Contacts and Shortcuts from the Search Page to the Home Screen
This feature makes it so much easier to add your favorite contacts to the home screen. You can now drag almost any content from the search page directly onto the home screen.
