Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself? When did you start sharing your home screen setups, and what motivated you to do so?

Stefano Guerra: I started sharing my setups about four years ago. Initially, it was just out of curiosity, I wanted to experiment and see what I could create. Over time, this small interest grew into a real passion. I discovered how satisfying it was to design something unique and to see others appreciate my work. Sharing my setups became a way to connect with like-minded people and contribute to the community.

Q: How did you discover Smart Launcher, and what initially drew you to this app?

Stefano Guerra: I’ve tried a variety of launchers over the years, but none of them clicked with me like Smart Launcher did. From the moment I started using it, I loved its intuitive design and the way it focused on simplicity without compromising on features. It stood out not just as a tool but as a platform that empowered creativity.

Q: Is there a specific feature in Smart Launcher that you find particularly useful or that has inspired your designs the most?

Stefano Guerra: The standout feature for me is its simplicity. Everything feels smooth and easy to use, which is crucial when you’re experimenting with different designs. Another favorite of mine is the “Show off your home” feature. It’s a brilliant addition that makes sharing setups effortless. I think of it as a small but indispensable touch that inspires creativity and community interaction.

Q: Where do you draw inspiration for your setups? Are there any recurring themes or sources you enjoy exploring?

Stefano Guerra: My inspiration often starts with the wallpapers I download. I’ll browse for something that catches my eye, whether it’s a beautiful landscape, an abstract design, or something nostalgic. Once I have the wallpaper, I experiment with widgets to find one that complements it perfectly. I enjoy themes that feel cohesive, and I often try to tell a small story or evoke a mood with each setup.

Q: Can you walk us through your creative process? How do you start designing a new setup, and what steps do you follow to achieve the final result?

Stefano Guerra: It always begins with the wallpaper, it sets the tone for everything else. Once I have that, I start experimenting with widgets, looking for one that fits the vibe of the background. After that, I move on to icons, selecting styles and colors that tie everything together. It’s a process of trial and error; sometimes I’ll make adjustments over a few days until everything feels just right. When the elements harmonize perfectly, I know I’ve achieved what I set out to create.

Q: Which setup are you most proud of? Can you tell us how you designed it and the idea you wanted to convey?

Stefano Guerra: The setup that stands out the most to me is my Windows XP design. It’s like having a piece of nostalgia in your pocket, recreating the feeling of using an old PC. I carefully matched widgets and icons to replicate the classic Windows experience. Another design I loved creating was the football field setup. I arranged the icons like players in formation on the field, it’s a fun and creative twist that resonates with fans of the sport.

Q: What advice would you give to someone who wants to start creating and sharing home screen setups?

Stefano Guerra: The most important thing is to approach it with passion. Don’t rush the process, be patient and enjoy experimenting. It takes time to refine your ideas and find your style, but the results are always worth it. Remember, every design is an opportunity to learn something new.

Q: In your opinion, what makes a home screen truly well-designed?

Stefano Guerra: A great home screen is one where everything feels balanced and cohesive. After countless adjustments and refinements, there’s that moment where you look at it and think, “This is perfect!” It’s about achieving harmony between the elements and creating something that feels uniquely yours.

Q: How do you think customization tools like Smart Launcher can impact the way people interact with their devices?

Stefano Guerra: They completely transform your phone in a positive way. Stock launchers can be limiting, but tools like Smart Launcher open up endless possibilities for creativity. You can create home screens that feel personal and expressive, which makes using your phone more enjoyable and engaging.

Q: Do you have any suggestions for improving Smart Launcher or adding new features?

Stefano Guerra: Honestly, I think Smart Launcher is already fantastic as it is. It’s simple, lightweight, and fluid. Qualities that make it stand out from other launchers. I wouldn’t change a thing!

Q: Finally, what are your future projects? Do you have any special ideas you'd like to share with the community?

Stefano Guerra: I’ve been toying with the idea of designing watch faces for smartwatches. It’s still just a possibility for now, but who knows? Maybe it’s something I’ll explore in the near future.

We hope you found Stefano Guerra’s insights into his creative journey and design process as inspiring as we did.
